To celebrate Jaya Jusco's 20th anniversary on September 15, 2004, 2,851 volunteers, both from Japan and the local area, planted 30,000 trees in a nature reserve on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, which has been destroyed by tin mining and deforestation over the year.
