In support of the philosophy of UNESCO Biosphere Reserves—
which emphasizes not only ecosystem conservation but also the coexistence of nature and human society—we partnered with the Japanese Biosphere Reserve Network in 2017. To advance these reserves, we aim to harmonize ecosystem conservation with the sustainable use of natural resources.
A biosphere reserve is a model region with rich ecosystems that promotes sustainable economic activities by utilizing local natural resources.
