The “Waritsuke District Hyuganatsu Orchard” next to the “Aya Town AEON Forest” has been certified as a “Nationally Certified Sustainably Managed Natural Site” by the Ministry of the Environment.
This certification recognizes the “Aya Town AEON Forest“, where yamazakura (wild cherry tree) and other flowering trees have been planted, for supporting pollinators like Japanese honeybees, benefiting the nearby Hyuganatsu (Citrus tamurana) orchard, and for hosting rare plants and animals.

Over 10 years after planting, pruning and underbrush clearing are being done to conserve the forest.
A walking trail is used for environmental education and traditional culture learning.
